There’s no doubt that sexual shame and suppression exist…
On a MASSIVE scale in our society.
It is the programming that we’ve received in our childhood and throughout our lives, passed down generation to generation.
That is the culprit here.
The hush hush attitude towards sex and intimacy among our families…
Then the ridiculously surface level sex education we may (or may not) have received as part of our public schooling system. And finally the unrealistic ideals portrayed by the media.
The imagery and messaging that will cause just about ANYONE to feel like they’ve got a lot of ‘work’ to do on their bodies.
And let’s not talk about the messaging around what you ‘should’ look/act/feel like as a good enough woman in the world.
Men definitely battle with this too!
From a vulva owner’s perspective, I can talk about this life-long conditioning for days – so instead I invite you to check out this ‘Be A Lady They Said’ work of art.
My personal belief is that there is an obvious reason why our society has been systematically created to cause sexual oppression.
The reason our society suppresses our sexual selves is that our sexual solidarity is INCREDIBLY powerful. It is competition to the existing groups holding the position of power on our planet.
YOUR sexual energy is a force to be reckoned with.
Sexual energy is the energy of creation. It is the source of your creativity.
And creativity means shifting away from the standard. The status quo.
A world population who is perfectly capable of solving our problems in loving, holistic ways that don’t make profit a priority?!
Well of course that would be threatening to a force like Big Pharma (as a humble example).
“So really it happens that the more sexual a person is, the more inventive he can be. The more sexual a person is, the more intelligent. With less sex energy, less intelligence exists; with more sexual energy, more intelligence, because sex is a deep search to uncover, not only bodies, not only the opposite sex body, but everything that is hidden.” – Osho
Aside from sexual energy being a key to your creative power and independence…
Sexual energy HEALS.
Sexual energy coming from a loving intention creates UNION.
While our society is built upon separation, to keep us small. See how if seen through the eyes of the rule makers, sexual liberation just doesn’t have a place in our typically stifled communities?!
So what has been the strategy instead coming from the top levels?
Sprinkle it all with SHAME!
It’s been working pretty well, hasn’t it?
It’s up to all of us to engage in our own sexual healing and see the multitude of benefits flowing into our lives collectively.
What benefits might sexual liberation bring me?
Finding a personal connection to your why – your purpose, passion and excitement in life.
Escaping the rat race and beginning to create and take on projects from a place of your unique gifts and superpowers.
Creating partnerships and families that flourish on a strong foundation of love and understanding.
Sharing your own story of liberation with others in order to help create a united and peaceful global community.
How do you go about finding that sense of freedom?
Read sexually empowering material.. Like you already are!
Follow your excitement and curiosity on the topic and see what resources and educators they will lead you to.
Engage in your OWN unique personal exploration along the way!
Ideally, personally working with someone who is just a few steps ahead of you on this journey will make a massive difference in your progress.
To create sexual aliveness in your body sexually, making FRIENDS with your sexual self is necessary.
That part of your being emotionally, mentally, and also physically.
To show the main symbols of your sexuality (your vulva and your vagina) some LOVE!
If you’re anything like me, this may be for the first time, genuinely, in your life.
One way that physically stirring up this sexual aliveness can look like is vaginal reflexology
I’ve already written about trigger point release here, an internal massage which focuses on releasing physical and emotional tension from certain tight points in the vagina.
So let’s now shed some light on a more general reflexology practice that focuses on creating energetic and physical aliveness of the vagina as a whole.
Per The Tao of Sexology – The Book of Infinite Wisdom by Dr. Stephen T. Chang…
“If you are familiar with Foot Reflexology , you will know that the soles of the feet contain the endings of nerves and meridians and that various points on the feet correlate with various parts of the body. You will also know that by massaging these points, you can bring energy to their related organs.
The penis (and vagina), like the feet, also has reflexology points that are related to organs.”
Massaging those points in the vagina helps to relieve tension, improve circulation, and support the body’s efforts to function optimally.
When it comes to specific zones…
“The kidney zone is located at the entrance of the vagina, the liver zone is behind the kidney zone, the spleen-pancreas zone is in the middle of the channel, the lung zone is in the middle, and the heart zone is at the end of the vaginal channel.
During normal intercourse, when the penis penetrates all the way into the vagina, there is lung-to-lung contact, heart-to-heart contact, and so on, as the reflexology zones of the penis make contact with the corresponding zones of the vagina. In this way the two partners stimulate each other. This is the ideal, certainly the most pleasurable, form of reflexology.
This is how two bodies become one.”
“If a woman masturbates in an unbalanced way, that is, without stimulating the entire vaginal area evenly, weaknesses in the kidneys and urinary tract, high blood pressure, water retention, irregular menstruation, and many other problems may result.”
This shows the importance of that vaginal reflexology for full body, balanced health AND tension-free sexual aliveness.
Whether with a partner or solo, this practice is beneficial both DURING the journey of overcoming vaginismus and later in life…
If you’re still working up to the being able to receive your partner’s penis pain-free, or don’t have a partner to work with just yet, a tool to practice solo would be helpful.
And to stimulate the areas of the vagina as intended, it must have a shape similar to a penis.
Bring on the tools
A beautiful tool I’ve come across that is wonderful for vaginal reflexology and awakening your sexual energy is a crystal wand with a penis-like shape.
Crystals have healing properties that you can read all about here.
Specifically, the Bloodstone Curved Yoni Wand is one I would recommend for a solo vaginal reflexology practice, when you’re at this size of comfortable and PAIN-FREE penetration.
It has a bulbous tip and curved shaft to mimic the shape of a penis, allowing for that gentle massage of the vagina without much effort of twisting and turning the wand.
I personally found the more pronounced bulb to aid in a thorough massage especially in the kidney zone right at the entrance of the vagina.
The yoni wand is 6.5” long, 0.8″ wide at the shaft and 1.2″ wide at the largest section of the bulbous tip.
Bloodstone is known for its protection and strength, used to ward off negativities, confront or withdraw when needed and increase clarity.
It has a unique colour variation of green, grey, red and possible quartz inclusions.
Price (in USD)
The Bloodstone Curved Yoni Wand is $95.
What I love about Gemstone Yoni is that their crystal toys are certified by the Gemological Institute of America, meaning they are safe, pure and authentic gemstones that have not been heated, dyed or altered.
And because I value high quality products at a reasonable price…
